Talassoma Jewelry
is a Handmade Independent Jewelry Brand by the Russian Designer Aleksandra Sokolova, based in Yerevan, Armenia.
Her jewelry is inspired by their exploration of identity, fluidity and natural shapes of plants and creatures and how they interact with each other. The process of making jewelry by hand serves as a form of meditation and inner healing for me, and the organic shapes of my pieces reflect my unconsciousness and inner state of mind.
Drawing inspiration from nature and organic forms, I reshape them into my jewelry, aiming for a blend of ancient charm and a touch of the futuristic.
The design language shifts between softness and intensity. Sometimes the pieces are delicate and fluid, other times bold and raw. This contrast reflects my emotional state, my environment, and my subconscious. I find it difficult to define my work in one particular style, as it constantly evolves based on where I am mentally, physically, and emotionally.
The name Talassoma reflects this philosophy. It's simply was my favorite fish when I was a kid. That perfectly captures the way I work and who I am as a person. Each creation may be different, but they all share threads of connection, just like parts of myself.
Each item in our collection is crafted by hand, ensuring its one-of-a-kind nature. It's crucial to handle certain pieces with caution, such as sharp objects that can be dangerous if not used carefully. Despite slight variations that may arise due to the natural shapes of the stones and our commitment to an organic form, we take great care in selecting them to remain in harmony with the original design.
